Environmental Policy and Education

Staggering amount of fossil fuel is consumed continuously and fuel scarcity will come to an end soon. Moreover, burning fossil fuel emits greenhouse gas and atmospheric pollutants. Therefore, it is important to find alternative clean energy sources such as renewable energy. Unlike conventional energy sources, renewable energy is abundant in the environment and can be replenished by the natural process so that they can be reused again. When sunlight is irradiated on the solar panel, delocalized electrons will be excited. Direct current will be produced when it is connected to a closed circuit. A current inverter needed to be added to transform DC to AC. 


Wind power is the use of natural wind to initiate the rotation of windmills or wind wheels. This momentum will drive the generator to produce direct current. A current inverter can be added to transform DC to AC.

Hydroelectric Energy

Hydroelectric is the use of water flow and the difference in potential energy to drive a turbine generator directly in order to produce electricity. The larger amount of water flow or larger difference in potential energy can result in a larger amount of electricity being generated. However, the application of hydropower is also limited by its geographical location. It can only apply in the big river such as the Yangtze River.

水力發電是利用水的流量及位能差直接推動渦輪發電機而產生電力,水流量及位能差越大,所產生的電能越多。這是受地理環境所影響的,因此在大型河流如在長江興建的三峽大霸(右圖) 才適合發展水力發電。

To acquire a balance between environment, economy and society in order to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own need, sustainable development is of utmost importance. Therefore, it is necessary to educate the next generation and raise their environmental awareness. We also put our effort on environmental education.
